My advanced diploma in culinary arts with Academy of pastry and Culinary arts, Bangalore was one of the best experiences of my life. It has brought clarity of thought, knowledge, confidence, courage and conviction to me and my goals. Real time exposure with only hands on training was immense throughout the program. The chefs contribute significantly to your knowledge base in the academy. It made me realize that learning environment makes it better, along with the best infrastructural facilities and brilliant faculties, a culinary institute can have. As far as the internships and placements are concerned, enough opportunities are provided to every student and it is upto the individual how you take it. Through academy, I got interned at Taj Coromandel, Chennai , a five star flagship hotel in Chennai , and soon would continue to be working with them. I did 9 months culinary advance course from Bengaluru center. I entered the academy with limited knowledge of food and cooking. I enrolled for the culinary course at APCA not knowing how to hold a knife or having any knowledge in the kitchen and today I work at the top hotel and fine dining restaurant in East Africa Raddison blu Nairobi, Kenya. All thanks to Academy and the 9 months amazing journey beginning from the most basic knife skills,identification of ingredients, getting hands on practice and to be able to be creative and put our plating skills to test with the finest of ingredients and learning from the best chefs in India.
