Terms and Conditions

FOR KBC, Kuch Bake Carona 2020

  1. The KBC 2020 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Contest’) is a value added participation promoted by APCA, India for the Participation by the members of general public within India (“Participants”) who are aged 16 years on or before the Competition start date and not more than 40 years on or before the Competition start date and who wish to voluntarily participate by submitting recipe of their own and picture of the product made along with a selfie with the product and submitting the same on the designated website and posting the same on their facebook/ twitter handle/instagram profile and tagging APCA, India.
  2. The Contest is valid for the period from 22 nd March 2020 to 15 th April 2020 (hereinafter called the contest period).
  3. It is clarified that the Contest is in no way sponsored,endorsed and/or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. Whatever information/details, posts, tweets are posted on the designated facebook/ twitter handle/instagram page of APCA, India, shall be regarded as the post/comment/tweet for and use by APCA, India at its sole discretion and the contents thereof would not in any way be related/associated with Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram.
  4. Under the Contest, the Participants would be indentified by the details submitted on the designated website and their facebook page/twitter id/instagram id and the same would be used by APCA, India to indentify and relate the post/tweet with particular participants.
  5. In order to participate, the Partcipants are required to click on the designated link and submit their entry on the website by mentioning the details requested along with their own recipe and picture of the product made along with a selfie with the product. The entry will not be considered complete till the non refundable registration fee of INR 200/- has been paid.
  6. The photograph of the product needs to be clearly showing the product in a clutter-free manner. The image size should not be more than 4 MB and needs to be in .jpeg format. The photograph of Participant with the product (selfie) needs to clearly show their face frontal with the product visible 100%. The image size should not be more than 4 MB and needs to be in .jpeg format. The recipe needs to be own creation of the Participant. The recipe needs to be uploaded in MS Word format or PDF format. All the entries submitted by the Participants under the Contest are required and/or deemed to be the original recipe and picture of the Participants and the Participants shall accordingly be considered or deemed to be the author/creator of such entries. It is clarified that in no event shall APCA, India be held liable for any third party intellectual property right infringement and/or for any wrongful and/or unauthorized copying, duplication, reproduction, and plagiarism by the Participant(s). It is further clarified herein that views/contents/tweets etc. expressed are solely of the Participant in their individual capacity and do not in any way represent the views of APCA, India and APCA, India shall in no manner whatsoever be responsible/liable for the same.
  7. APCA, India shall be well within its rights to moderate the contents posted on the facebook/twitter/instagram pages of APCA, India and can disqualify any text/Participant and/or remove his/her post/tweet/comment from facebook/twitter/instagram pages of APCA on the grounds that the contents of post/tweet/comment etc are objectionable and/or obscene and the decision of APCA, India shall be final and binding in this regard.
  8. All Participants must note that by submitting their comments/ tweet under the Contest, they confirm their voluntary participation and also agree to the terms and conditions of the Contest along with the right to APCA, India to call the Participant with regards the Contest. All entries (including information/details/ post/ tweet/ comments) provided/ submitted by the Participants under the Contest will be inherently and perpetually owned and used for any / all purposes as deemed fit by APCA, India.
  9. This Contest is not open to Employees of APCA and their families. Alumni and current students of APCA or institutes offering professional courses in bakery with duration of 5 months and above are excluded from entering the competition.
  10. By participation in the Contest, the Participants are assumed to have submitted their entries with the express consent for use by APCA, India in any manner whatsoever including placing the same on the Twitter/Facebook/Instagram/websites of APCA, India.
  11. APCA, India will deemed to have the right to use the content of the entries for purposes of duplication, editing, dubbing, conversion into any other form or media, digital conversion, public performance in any media and for use on any sequence or part of any advertisement or similar project. By participation on the Contest, the Participants expressly waive (in favour of APCA, India.) all personal rights prohibiting use of personal content, privacy rights, rights of displaying name, image and likeness, right of public display as part of any content on the Twitter/facebook/instagram page/websites of APCA, India. or advertisement or similar project along with the right to claim compensation and any proprietary rights to limit display/use of any content under applicable laws.
  12. APCA, India will have the sole and absolute discretion to select winner. APCA, India will select and declare the final winners on the day of the final round. The decision of the Jury will be final and binding.
  13. Three winners of the contest will be selected basis the entries submitted and the ratings of the jury. The Winners will be eligible to the below:

    1st Prize: 4 Days  Class at APCA India Campus + Moulds worth Rs. 10,000

    2nd Prize: 2 Days  Class at APCA India Campus + Moulds worth Rs. 7,000

    3rd Prize:  Moulds worth Rs. 5,000

    Bumper Prize : Rs. 1Lakh scholarship for the Advance Diploma Program

  14. It is clarified that in order to receive the rewards/prizes under the Contest, the winning Participant(s) shall contact/communicate with APCA, India within 3 days of announcement of their selection on the facebook/twitter handle/instagram of APCA, India and provide his/her address/delivery details/account details etc. In no event shall any Participant be entitled to receive the reward/prize under the Contest, if they fail to contact APCA, India within the time period stipulated above and therefore accordingly be deemed to have foregone and/or forfeited his/her right to reward/prize in accordance with the Contest. The prize will be given in the name of the winner after the deduction of the required taxes within 15 days of results declaration.
  15. It is clarified that nothing herein or the mere participation in the Contest would give any Participant an assured chance of winning any prizes or gifts, merely by submitting their entries. That each and every such entry shall be evaluated by APCA, India and/or its independent panel in their sole and exclusive discretion without any obligation /explanation towards any Participant.
  16. APCA, India reserves the right to revise or amend any/all the terms of the Contest at its sole discretion without any prior intimation to the Participants and/or the general public or it may withdraw this Contest at any time without assigning any reason whatsoever, and if it chooses to do so, the Contest will stand cancelled. APCA, India does not accept any responsibility for the personal security, harm, loss or claims incurred by the Participants on any account whatsoever including claim for airport transfer, personal injury, etc. APCA, India IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS, INJURY OR ANY OTHER LIABILITY, WHATSOEVER, CAUSED TO ANY PARTICIPANT(S) AT THE EVENT OR DURING ANY TRANSIT, TRAVEL OR PARTICIPATION OF THE EVENT.
  17. If for any reason any aspect of this Contest is not capable of running, then APCA, India Shall be in right to accordingly cancel, terminate, modify or suspend or invalidate the entitlement of the said Participant.
  18. The decision making right of APCA, India shall be final & binding on all matters of this Contest.
  19. All Participants (including the winners who are entitled to attend the Event) are expected to adhere to the expected code of conduct stipulated by APCA, India. In the event that any Participant(s) acts and/or behaves and/or conducts himself/herself in an inappropriate manner (as determined by APCA, India) then the said Participant would be deemed to have forfeited his/her right to participate in the Contest (upon such occurrence) and APCA, India would be within its right to disqualify the said Participant from the Contest forthwith without any further obligations.
  20. The benefits under the Contest are not transferable and cannot be redeemed in cash. The Contest is always subject to force majeure provisions under applicable law. APCA, India reserves the right to substitute either any part of Prize or whole Prize for similar prize of equal or greater value.
  21. Incomplete information provided or failure to provide true and accurate information as stated in these terms and conditions, failure to submit proof of identification and/or original entry number upon collection of the Prize will automatically disqualify the participant. APCA, India shall have the absolute and sole discretion to determine whether any participant should be disqualified by reason of failure to abide by these terms and conditions, bad faith, fraud or any other legitimate reason
  22. This is a value added promotion by APCA, India and does not intend to offer any consideration or other promises to the Participants other than those set forth above.
  23. APCA, India accepts no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to this Contest. Only entries duly submitted online at the defined link along with the registration fees will be considered for the contest. No courier, physically submitted entries and entries submitted by any other medium will be considered as a part of the contest. APCA, India does not accept responsibility for (1) lost, late or undelivered entries or (2) any technical or access issue, failure, malfunction or difficulty that might hinder the ability of a participant to enter the Competition or (3) any event which may cause the Competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
  24. Any disputes, differences and/or any other matters in relation to and arising out of this Promotion and, or pertaining to these terms and conditions shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996. The venue of arbitration shall be New Delhi. The Rules of Indian Council of Arbitration(“Rules”) shall apply to the arbitration proceedings and the arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator to be appointed as per the Rules.
  25. In case any participant /entry does not fulfill the terms and conditions laid out, the entry will be disqualified and no refund of the registration fees will be made.
